British limited edition print artist Alan Tyers was born in 1944 and died in 2020. He always had a passion for art and was offered a place in the School of Art when aged only 13. Alan trained in fine art, with particular emphasis on impressionism painting.

After art training Alan decided upon a career advertising. Throughout his time spent in advertising world he continue to paint. Eventually Alan left the advertising career to concentrate of painting full time. He had a number of one man art shows and his art work was exhibited at numerous venues including the Mall Galleries in London. His paintings and Limited Edition Prints are now in a number of private and business art collections

Alan's distinctive art style inspired by British railway poster art of the 1930's became increasingly collectible. His paintings and limited edition prints have a simplified realism and romantic decorative quality. Inspiration for Tyer's art works came from many places across the British Isles particularly Warwickshire and the Cotswolds.
