Susan Brown was born in Yorkshire and studied at Leeds Polytechnic gaining a BA Hons in Three Dimensional Design.
She progressed to become a highly respected interior designer. Throughout this time she also worked on her personal passion of fine art painting. Susan's background in design has given her an exceptional command of colour, texture and pattern.
Susan Brown limited edition prints are bold and striking. Her prints are focused on man-made structures and city life and man's relationship with his environment. These fine architectural print studies explore the rhythm and movement within buildings and interiors. Much of Susan's work features European cities, however she is not limited to architectural studies, she also creates beautiful abstract paintings which are inspired by still life subjects and landscapes, focusing on texture and pattern.
Susan Brown paintings feature in numerous private and public contemporary art collections. These include: Halifax Plc, Allied Domecq, Sir George Martin Trust, Universities of Sheffield and York.
