Retiring early to live in France and Cornwall he has realised a long held ambition to work as a painter, and has now become established as a water colourist. His principal inspiration has been the ancient and mixed landscapes of the Perigord Vert area of France and the rugged coast and undulating landscapes of Cornwall.
Frank Phillips exhibits regularly through out the UK and France and his paintings and limited edition prints are are in private art collections through out the world. His paintings have been accepted by The Royal Watercolour Society and his prints are in the collection of The Duchess of Cornwall. Phillips limited edition prints have been published in the UK and Japan and many of his paintings have been published as greeting cards.
