John Caple’s paintings are built up using strong, rich colours and are created using mixed media. Faces of his mother, grandparents, uncles and others are
recurring images in scenes derived from through stories he was told of their pasts. Each painting describes specific episodes in the lives of these characters and their
relationship with the Mendip landscape.The paintings capture the sense of a much simpler and calmer life influenced by the changing seasons.
John Caple is now an established highly sucessful British artist with a worldwide following.He has had a number of solo exhibitions in the UK and South Africa.
