Mall Galleries is the British national centre for figurative art.
The Mall Galleries is one of the few London galleries to show the art of well-established British artists alongside that of up-and-coming artists and unknown painters. Opened in 1971 by Her Majesty The Queen, the Galleries are run by the Federation of British Artists, which works to educate, inspire and involve the public in the appreciation and practice of the fine art.
The Federation of British Artists is a long-established registered charity and the umbrella organisation for nine leading British art societies.
Election to membership of each art society is on merit. However, non-members are encouraged to submit work to the annual art exhibitions held at the Mall Galleries. Artists' prizes are given at most exhibitions - many of them specifically for younger artists.
