The Circus is one of Bath''s finest examples of Georgian architecture. Begun in 1754 the Circus was completed in 1768. Originally called King''s Circus it was designed by the architect John Wood the Elder and just a few short steps from the Red Rag Gallery in Bath.

At the time of building the Circus it was a design of startling originality. In this limited edition print Alan Tyers has captured the majesty and grandeur of the architecture. The pale sky is a perfect backdrop for the strongly shadowed and towering trees in the foreground and the sunlit buildings.
