Colin Orchard has chosen to paint Woodbridge in Suffolk under a dark and brooding sky. Orchard creates a sense of depth and atmosphere through his depiction of the waterside buildings and their reflections in the water and the way they are in turn dwarfed by the enormity of the stormy sky.

Colin Orchard''s paintings have regularly featured at the Royal Academy Summer shows. In 2007 he was appointed a member of the Royal Society of British Artists.
