Colin Orchard has chosen a neutral palette to paint this small corner of the Cornish town of St Ives. ''Bunkers Hill, St Ives'' shows the narrow picturesque lane near the harbour, buildings on either side. Orchard has created interest and texture through his description of the light and shade created by the walls in the lane.

Colin Orchard''s paintings have regularly featured at the Royal Academy Summer shows. In 2007 he was appointed a member of the Royal Society of British Artists.
