Linda Richardson was born in the small village of Little Bardfield,in North West Essex.She undertook a two year foundation art course at Braintree College of Further Education 1974-1976. This was followed by 3 year Printmaking course at Colchester School of Art from 1976-1979.
Her work has been published in many books including: 'The Artful Hare' 2015 and 2018;'The Printmaker's Cat' 2015 and The Illustrated Garden 2018
Since 2016 Linda has lived and worked in the beautiful Shetland Isles.Talking about her work Linda says: 'I have always been inspired by my immediate environment, especially the wildlife. I am a keen gardener, bird watcher and plant lover. Shetland has wildlife in abundance. The ever changing weather and shoreline present a wealth of subject matter. As a painter I work in watercolour or acrylic. I also create mixed media pieces using wax crayon and watercolour.My printmaking encompasses etching and linocuts'.
Linda Richardson is Member of Shetland Arts & Crafts Association.
In addition to Red Rag Gallery Linda has exhibited at a number of other British art galleries.
