Welsh artist Ceri Auckland Davies was born in 1951. He studied art at Dyfed and Newport Colleges of Art. After college Ceri decided to persue a career in the Educational world teaching art in schools and adult colleges.

Throughout the 1990's Ceri Davies continued to teach whilst at the sametime participating in mixed and solo art exhibitions across the UK. The new millenium saw Ceri focus on painting full time and he has been a professional artist ever since. Today his paintings and limited edition prints are in art collections throughout the world.

The thrust of Ceri Auckland Davies work in Limited Edition Prints are landscapes and seacapes of his native Wales, although he is equally skilled in capturing the magic and atmosphere of Venice. Composition is all important to Ceri and he spends an enormous amount of time getting things just right. The finished art work is created in his studio using the ancient tradition of Egg Tempera painting.

Ceri Auckland Davies is drawn to wild and lonely places, often by the water of the Welsh coastline. As a result his limited edition prints of seas are sometimes serene, sometimes threatening and dark caves and caverns hide a world of shadows and hidden depths. Ceri is especially known for his depiction of water, which appears to have genuine depth and transparency.
