Customers can choose from an extensive choice of mouldings, mount boards, and glazing options and all framing of art prints is carried out, to the highest standards by award winning Fine Art Guild Commended professional picture and print framers.

All the frames for limited edition prints are individually made by hand to order. The best of natural woods is used for all art print frames including: ash, beech, cherry, maple, oak, obeche, pine, and tulip. Alternatively art prints can also be framed in many colours by painting the bare wood in gold, silver, black, white, natural, green, red, blue or yellow.

The addition of a mount into a frame makes a huge visual difference to the finished effect of Limited Edition Prints and Posters. The mount used for art prints from Red Rag is cut from white core or more often conservation mount board, with an under mount and Art-Bak conservation backing. Red Rag limited edition prints are either dry mounted using high quality Fusion 4000 adhesive or hinged to the mount with pH neutral self adhesive tape. The glazing, mount, and under mount are sealed with P90 self adhesive tape to help keep insects out.

The standard glazing used by Red Rag to protect and enhance the appearance of art prints is float glass. For requirements where light reflection is an issue then Schott Mirogard or Diffused glazing can be selected. The glazing used normally has around 47% UV filter.

The price of frames for art prints can vary enormously depending upon the moulding selected. Customers buying art prints from Red Rag can choose bespoke frames from well over 500 fine quality mouldings.
