Matthew Snowden Artist
Contemporary British Artist Matthew Snowden was born in 1969 in Heswall and trained at Withens Lane Art College (1989) before going on to study Industrial Design (BA Hons) at Teesside University (1990-93). After a brief career in advertising, Matthew has spent the last 25 years as a professional full time artist.
Matthew Snowdens favourite places to paint are the west coasts of Scotland, Cornwall and his beloved Anglesey and North Wales. Painting rapidly and intuitively, using a palette knife and impasto acrylic paint, he captures the rugged landscapes of these beloved locations.
Matthew Snowdens contemporary art and paintings are exhibited in galleries throughout the UK, as well as in prestigious private and public collections including The National Library of Wales and The Williamson Art Gallery and Museum.
