David Eustace applies subtle textures to lift highlighted areas and picking out the rough seas against an overall smooth finish. The intensity of the deep red lighthouse compliments the soft rather muted colours throughout. At close study, there is a little dog at the top of the lighthouse, this adds a somewhat humble touch.
