Olive Groves above Montefioralle

turns her attention to the Tuscan hills, capturing the olive groves and surrounding countryside with a warm, sunlit palette and her signature expressive brushwork.

The composition balances structure and softness: rolling terrain, textured foliage, and the gentle rhythm of olive trees come together to create a landscape that feels both serene and full of life. Playfair’s intuitive sense of colour and light gives the scene a timeless quality, inviting viewers to linger in the quiet beauty of Montefioralle’s elevated groves.

Collectors of contemporary British landscape painting will appreciate how Playfair blends travel, observation, and artistic sensitivity to produce works that resonate emotionally as well as visually.
