Liquorice Allsorts British Art and Artists at Red Rag Gallery James Hunt studied Fine Art in Canterbury in 1990s. He began painting local Kentish scenes before moving on to paint figurative work. His first ever painting of a figure,'Woman in a Blue Silk Dress', became a runner-up in the Not-The-Turner prize. James loves the Victorian and Edwardian eras and the way people dressed. He is drawn to capture and paint a slower, simpler and more elegant period of time. His art works can be found in collections throughout the world. He has also completed several portraits for Sheik Yamani amongst others.
