Charles Jamieson was born in 1951. He studied art at the Glasgow School of Art from 1969 to 1974. This was followed by further studies at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.
Charles Jamieson paintings are very distinctive with his trade mark intelligent use of colour, coupled light and shade. Jamieson paintings are diverse in subject matter. Charles is equally comfortable painting Still Life, Landscape, Marine and Architectural subjects.
Charles Jamieson has been the recipient of a number of art awards. He is the Chairman of the Aspect Prize and also a past President of the Paisley Art Institute.
