Arie Vardi was born in Chile in 1956. After graduating from Jerusalem he became a member of a Kibutz. He moved to Scotland in 1991.

Arie Vardi paintings and limited edition prints are mainly inspired by a deep connection with the west coast of Scotland and Perthshire. He produces beautiful paintings of his local surrounding Scottish landscapes and seascapes. He begins his art work with sketches drawn on the spot and takes reference photographs. Back in his art studio Arie works from these to produce stunning results, based on the mood and emotions felt when originally contemplating the scene. He finds the elemental form of the land and the connective points of sea and shore, hill and sky are of particular interest. Colour and vibrancy are essential to his paintings and limited edition prints.
