Anne Magill describes her paintings and limited edition prints as simply trying to capture a feeling of those fleeting moments in life. "There is always narrative in my paintings and I'm always trying to convey this through the use of light , colour and texture. The art work is nearly always figurative. I'm caught up in trying to convey those moments where something epic has just happened, or is about to happen but just hint at it- 'a sort of less' is more approach."
Magill's images always facinate the viewer. The narrative compositions draw the viewer to speculatie on the possible relationships observed in the art works. The subjects of Anne's limited edition prints are placed in the twentieth century, but they have a timeless quality crossing back and forth over the generations.
Anne's first solo exhibition was in 1992 and since then her work has been exhibited in many prestigious UK and USA galleries. Anne Magill's art works are in Corporate Collections such as British Airways, Nike and Levi Strauss plus selected Private Collections including an astonishing list of Hollywood stars, directors and producers including Nicole Kidman - Russell Crowe - Josephine Hart.
