Andrew Macara

Andrew Macara was born in Derbyshire in 1944. Although he studied contemporary modern British Art for a short period with Leonard Fuller at the St Ives School of Painting he considers himself a self taught artist.

Today Andrew Macara is one of the most respected British Artists with a very distinctive style and he has enjoyed considerable success. Macara was elected a member of the Royal Society of British Artists in 1981 and in 1984 he was elected to the New English Art Club - a society which includes artists: David Cobley, Ken Howard, Karolina Larusdottir, Salliann Putman, and Dawn Sidoli

Macara contemporary paintings regularly feature at the Royal British Artists (RBA) London art exhibitions. His contemporary paintings are also regularly exhibited at one of the leading London Art Galleries the Royal Academy of Art in their Summer Exhibitions.
